Welcome to Pat's Golf Pool

Welcome to Pat's Golf Pool aspiring golf pundits.  The pool started a number of years ago using texts and a piece of paper. The pool got an upgrade to use a spreadsheet which made the scoring easier, and then the spreadsheet started pulling scores directly from ESPN which made live scoring possible.  

This version of the pool evolved over the course of the 2026 Masters which started out as the live spreadsheet and by the end was a web-page.

Rules of the game:

• The pool is run 4 times a year, once at each of the Golf Majors

  • The Masters

  • The PGA Championship

  • US Open

  • The Open Championship

How to Play

• Pick 6 golfers from the field of golfers

  • You will received an email letting you know that your picks are in 

  • You'll be able to see that you've registered in the Leaderboard within a few seconds of registering.  You may need to refresh the page.

• Your best 5 scores will be added to form your final score

• You must have at least 5 players make The Cut to stave off elimination

• Check back in once the tournament starts to see how you are doing

The Leaderboard

• Data is extracted from ESPN's leaderboard about once an hour

• The leaderboard will appear a few seconds after you open the Leaderboard page
